Solo Piping News:

Saturday 8th March saw the 83rd Ayrshire Music Festival Piping Events taking place. It was a long day with approximately 50 contestants. The judges for the day were Chris Gibb (Scottish Power) and Rory Grossart (Strathclyde Police). Below are the results and the members of the band who competed. Congratulation to all who took part.

Primary School Chanter:

2nd Place - Euan Andrew. Also competing were William Limond, Connor Hull, Scott Allison

Secondary School Chanter:

3rd Place - Rory McQueen. Jack Garrett also took part in this event.

 

Under 14 Piping:

1st Place - Andrew Allison; 2nd Place - Scott Barrie. Amy Allison, Amirose Shanks also took part in this event.

Piobaireachd:

Competing in this event were Scott Barrie, Amy Allison, Amirose Shanks, Andrew Allison.

Open Under 18 Jig.

2nd Place - Amirose Shanks. Scott Barrie, Amy Allison, Andrew Allison also competed in this event.

23 February

Strathclyde Police Pipe Band hosted the Junior Solo Piping contest on Saturday 23 February 2008. A number of junior members of the band entered with the results as follows:

Under 15 Jig - Amirose Shanks - 1st Place

Under 14 March - Scott Barrie - 1st Place

Amy Allison competed in U14 March. Andrew Allison competed in U15 March and U15 Strathspey & Reel. Congratulations to all who competed.
